Lots of property damage, stopped paying rent had to recover in court and judge made me use security for back rent then had no security for the thousands of dollars of damage. Garfield NJ
Do NOT rent to this guy. He seems nice, but he will give you every excuse why he doesn’t have the rent and then bounce the checks when he does. He is already accused of passing one bad check in Ogle County, IL, has a current DUI case in DuPage County, IL and is about to be evicted from his current residence (where he has done property damage). Landlord BEWARE.

Myrna Lopez and her family comes across as a desperate single mom trying to find a place for her and her daughters but while smiling to your face, she will ignore all the rules set forth in the lease. No Pets, means sneaking in a cat then a dog and then another dog so that they can bark all day and night and annoy your other tenants and neighbors. No washer or dryer means, let’s have someone install a dryer and use the gas that I pay for. Rent due on the 1st means she’ll pay you when she remembers to and/or give an excuse about some unfortunate incident every month on why she couldn’t pay on time.
Due to her disregard of the rules, her lack of payment and the numerous complaints from my other tenant and neighbors, i was forced to ask her to leave and filed an eviction at the same time. Her “word” of moving at the end of the month, as i expected, turned into a 6 month rent free living for her. I was wise to file the eviction right away rather than take her word that she would move. My financial situation has worsened every month that she lives there for free. I had to sell my primary home at a loss in order to consolidate and move into the investment property that she is currently living in still. Now i have been told that she is not taking her garbage out but rather leaving it in front of my driveway to accumulate so that sanitation will give me tickets. What a loser! She and her family has NO class or respect for others. I am curious to see what the conditions are after the marshals enforce the eviction afer July 31st. DO NOT RENT to this person, do not fall for the “oh I’m a single parent” BS, She is a low class individual that has no regard for rules or respect. She deserves what ever hardships life brings. Don’t know what values she is teaching her teens but freeloading off of hard working landlords is one of them.
