My husband and I signed a Shorthold Tenancy Agreement for a flat 3 weeks ago, and days after moving in it became apparent that there was a problem with condensation.

We tried all the usual remedies but nothing seems to work and it is getting worse. I contacted the land lord who suggested some remedies and again nothing worked. It is now obvious that there has been a problem before which has been painted over.

When I contacted the land lord, his first response was “your right there is a condensation problem”.  He says he will come round to look but I am trying to find out when and he will not answer my calls or messages.

The condensation is now causing mould to grow and I believe its not a healthy environment to live in. I feel we have given the land lord the oppurtunity to put it right but now need to know if we are able to cancel/void the tenancy agreement due to the situation.

Any advice gratefully received.

Thanks

hello,

This is neither spam nor scam, but a genuine appeal. My name ispearl jams, I’m 25 and live in London, UK. Only a couple of years ago, I seemed to have everything, a well-paid job in advertising, a nice home, a beautiful wife, and a gorgeous little baby son. Somewhere along the way, I’m not sure exactly when (believe me, if I knew, I’d have tried to do something about it!), my marriage went downhill, and my wife and I divorced. It was an extremely painful decision to make: my wife was foreign-born (Japanese), and I knew a divorce would mean that she would return to her own country, taking my little son with her. Only those of you reading this who have children of your own will understand what it feels like to lose a son. OK, he’s not dead, and I still have contact with him of sorts, but I miss him terribly; I miss not teaching him how to swim or ride a bike, not flying kites on the hill, not playing football in the park, not helping him with his homework, not teaching him how to stand up to bullies… all the things a good father should do.

hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii,

One of my best friends commited suicide. Another one of my friends attempted suicide. The main reson I made this webpage is to help prevent teens from commiting suicide. If this page can help just one person then it will be well worth my efforts.
If you or some one you know is thinking about suicide PLEASE GET HELP NOW! Below is a link to a number of differnt numbers you can call for help categorized by state. There are also links to books you can read and links to other pages with information on suicide and suicide prevention.

Suicide is the 3rd leading cause of death among adolescents aged 15-19 years in the United States. 61% of all suicides in the United States are accomplished by firearm. Hanging and strangulation account for 15% of suicide deaths, gas posioning for 7% and other forms including overdose 10%.

No one should feel guilty about not preventing a suicide that has already taken place, everyone can feel optimistic about the possibility of preventing a suicide in the future.
