DO NOT RENT OR LEASE ANY PROPERTY FROM EARL M SHEPARD of FAIRFIELD IA, owner and president of Heavenly homes Inc. these homes are anything but heavenly and the landlord is the devil to boot!

EARL SHEPARD has a horrible reputation amoung the people of fairfield especially those who have rented from him in the past.
Mr. Shepard has properties all over the city of fairfield and jefferson county.
He has allowed new tenants to move into dilapitated properties well also consiciously knowing that he is failing to supply essential services one tenant went without heat in her dwelling for nearly 1 year!!!!!
he hires substandard people to make repairs and they are always late or they have done the job incorrectly. MR.SHEPARD has NO CONCEPT OF APPROPRATIE TIMING !!!!! If he comes to your rental to fix anyhting at all it is never when he says it will be example given ... If Mr.Shepard states he will be at the property at 10 am you will not see him till 7pm and he will not leave the dwelling for many many many hours based on what hes doing at the property he stayed at my house for 6 hours many times and did not accomplish a single thing because he forgot something at his house once he got there he forgot what he was supposed to be doing and comes back just as stupid as he was when he left
he will come to the dwelling at unacceptable hours for example I had a moldy closet in a room that I could not use for nearly 3 months it took this individual 3 months to come over here and put bleach on a wall to kill mold! furthermore I had to hire outside help to come and repair the dwelling. He harrassed and yelled at the workers and would not let them finish the job it was withing anyones legal rights as tenants to do.
Afterwards Mr. Shepard tried to evict me because i had invoked my rights as a tenant and deducted the cost of the repairs from the cost of the rent he had retaliated in the worst ways threatning to come into the property and change the locks and put all of our property out on the street. I went without heat in november because he had to go to THERAPY!!!!! he uses the money from his rentals to travel to other countries and he completely disregards his rental properties and the people inhabiting them.
MR.Shepard is the most grossly negligent individual I have ever come into contact with and I feel as though I must warn the public about the horrendous things that this person has done.

DO NOT RENT FROM EARL SHEPARD HE has been taken to court a ridiculous amount of times and has lost nearly every single case because he is incompetent he thinks that his tenants are stupid and dont know how to defend themselves or protect their legal interests renting from this individual in fairfield IA 52556 WOULD BE THE MOST HORRIBLE MISTAKE OF YOUR LIVES!!!!!!!!!

Francis ("Marty") Mullen -Don’t Rent To Him!

This guy moved into my 2-BR unit last December, and stopped paying rent in September. He gave me several bad checks, then left owing 3 months’ rent! I took him to court and won a judgment in the amount of $2,806.00 against him, but I still have not seen a dime that he owes me. I now have to hire an atty. to put a lien on him. He never cleaned his apartment, and left his filthy furniture for me to haul away. I had to use half his escrow for cleaning & furniture removal. Don’t rent to him; he is bad news!

LANCE LATTA --NEVER RENT FROM HIM

SPOKANE, WA, LANCE LATTA WAS A HORIBLE LANDLORD.  HE HAS SEVERAL HOUSES HERE IN SPOKANE, WA AND AN APARTMENT COMPLEX IN COEUR D’ALENE, ID.  WHEN I RENTED FROM HIM HE WAS NICE UNTIL MY HEAT WENT OUT.  I HAD TWO GAS LEAKS THAT I CALLED AVISTA UTILITIES AND THE FURNACE GOT “RED TAGGED”, WHICH MEANS THEY WON’T TURN YOUR GAS BACK ON UNLESS THE FURNACE IS FIXED.  HE REFUSED TO FIX IT AND ME AND MY NEPHEW (WHOM I AM RAISING) HAD ONE SMALL HEATER TO WARM THE ENTIRE PLACE IN THE DEAD OF THE WINTER.  IT DIDN’T KEEP US WARM.  THE COLDEST THE WEATHER GOT WAS DOWN TO 9 DEGREES.  HE DIDN’T OFFER TO FIX THE HEAT, NOR OFFER TO PROVIDE OTHER HEATING RESOURCES FOR US, FORCING US TO STAY AT ANOTHER HOME.  AFTER TWO MONTHS, AND ME FINDING PLACES TO FIX THE HEAT ON MY OWN, IT WAS FINALLY FIXED.  I PAID RENT FOR THOSE TWO MONTHS, AND ONLY STAYED THERE ABOUT TWO WEEKS OUT OF THOSE TWO MONTHS.  AT THE END OF THOSE TWO MONTHS HE OFFERED TO DEDUCT 1/4 OFF ONE MONTHS RENT EITHER THAT MONTH OR THE NEXT MONTH, BUT AT THAT TIME, I WAS HANDING HIM MY RENT AND A INTENT TO MOVE OUT.  STUPID ME, DIDN’T REWRITE THE CHECK AT THAT TIME BECAUSE I DID NOT HAVE MY CHECKBOOK WITH ME AND I FIGURED I’D TAKE IT OFF THE NEXT MONTHS RENT.  UPON PAYING MY LAST MONTHS RENT, I TRIED TO TAKE THAT AMOUNT OFF AND HE REFUSED.  I WAS VERY UPSET.  THEN AFTER MOVING OUT, HE DIDN’T GIVE ME BACK A FULL DEPOSIT.  WE DID A WALK-THRU AND I EVEN HAD A WITNESS WITH ME AND HE SAID I WOULD RECIEVE MY FULL DEPOSIT.  THIS PLACE WAS A MESS WHEN I MOVED IN AS IT HADN’T EVEN BEEN CLEANED.  I CLEANED IT SO WELL, YOU COULD EAT OFF THE FLOORS.  HE IS A WORTHLESS LANDLORD.  KARMA WILL COME AROUND.  I PRAY THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN TO ANYONE ELSE, AS I SURELY DIDN’T DESERVE THIS AND NEITHER DOES ANYONE ELSE.
