Takisha Long, (or Tekisha Long) was a nightmare tenant that never paid.  She came up with every excuse in the book as to why she was late with all the payments.  From using friends posing as her old landlord when I called for a reference, to posing as bank tellers at the bank when I called “direct line” numbers to figure out why checks were bouncing....

Takisha Long, (or Tekisha Long) was a nightmare tenant that never paid.  She came up with every excuse in the book as to why she was late with all the payments.  From using friends posing as her old landlord when I called for a reference, to posing as bank tellers at the bank when I called “direct line” numbers to figure out why checks were bouncing.

She never paid one cent from the 3 months of rent that she owed us.  She gave ever excuses imaginable about why her bank screwed up, my bank screwed up, etc.  She even tried to lie to the police officer and detective that called her…

Takisha (Tekisha) Long paid me with checks that were for accounts that were closed for a year.  She even paid me with her grandmother’s credit card checks and that bounced also.

Since it is a law in Illinois that if a tenant bounces one rent check it’s a misdemeanor, two, it’s a felony if the money is not paid within 7 days.  I proceeded with the charge but the detective informed me that the District attorney would not prosecute because she has a prior felony of forgery on her record...doesn’t make any sense!  But the good thing is that when someone does a criminal background check, it will appear on her record as pending, so at least that will warn others about her.

We ended up evicting her which took about 1.5 months.  Takisha (tekisha) Long never showed up to court.  We went through our savings so we wouldn’t foreclose since we were paying double mortgage.

I count this $6000+ towards our education in Real Estate, but hopefully others will do their due diligence and check background, landlords, employment history, checking account balance, etc.

NOTE:
I can show anyone copy of her contract, criminal report, police report, eviction notice, copies of bounced check, and the hell we went through.  Anyone looking to hire or do a background check on her, I have all of these documents and can show what a nightmare she caused us when “renting” our condo in the south loop for free.  She made us eat through our savings since we have to pay for 4 months of mortgage to cover this.  This was over 2 years ago...I would be happy to provide the detective name, police dept (16th and state in chicago) where I reported her and and court history docs.

I ran into this same individual while renting out my condo.  She was driving around her Mercedes SUV and has 2 children (even though she said she had just 1).  She was a mortgage broker and investor...but turns out she’s a professional apt jumper and has a criminal felony record of forgery. 

I was able to find her name her but ran the full gambit of background checks!  Thanks alot for posting this!  Saved me a few thousand dollars and many hrs of time!

Im sure you will remove this comment and add to another statment to your initial one as you did yesterday since this site is owned by you and your wife.  I am amazed that you are admitting online that YOU have been breaking the law. First, YOU have amnesia. It has been 2 years but my memory works perfect!! The fact that you stated that I had a “so called” job when we know for a fact that you did business with my boss is insane. You knew WHO I worked for and even had several meetings at my office so stating that I “impersonated” to be anyone in the mortgage profession is insane!! It appears that you will go thru hoops to try to find others that I have burned when in fact there are none. Yes, I did in fact have a felony when I was 19 and I am not the first person to turn things around. I have had EXCELLENT jobs that this felony did NOT effect because the remainder of my background speaks for itself. Secondly, if ANYONE checked my rental history or work history for that matter (which there is no need for no one to do since my life IS in order and you are the only person obsessed) it has been OUTSTANDING since I was 20 years old!! I have and still OWN property with no issues!! Unfortunately, I did rent from you at a time where my finances fell under due to the drastic drop in the real estate profession, WHICH IS HAPPENED TO ALOT OF INDIVIDUALS (watch the news) and I have always been a strong enough women to REBOUND. You have totally stretched this situation. Third, you are spending sooooo much time trying to post useless statements about me that NO ONE agrees with so you have pretended to be other people to see if you can have a fan club (not happening). Last but not least, IT IS ILLEGAL to post ANY personal information about ANYONE on the internet (especially with the way that identity theft has gotten out of hand and my credit is NOT in bad shape). Furthermore, I have in writing that you have admitted online to such things where I never even gave you permission to check. You are in the mortgage profession as well and know that it is a FEDERAL law to access information where the consent was NOT given for you to access. I NEVER signed anything allowing you to access my information outside of a credit report, and as you know, this MUST be done within a time frame to prevent from breaking the law. If I did not undergo constant harrassment, I would have contacted you by now for the past due rent that I do owe (2 months) and worked out a payment plan that would be in agreeance to the both of us if I wasan’t harassed constantly about the issue. Funny how you deleted my comments from this site since you are the owner but even funnier how you started your postings on another site with another user name trying to portray like another individual with the same issue. THERE ARE NO OTHERS!!!!!!!!!!! The story you are posting IS NOT TRUE!!!!  I This is not even worth me going back and forth with you about. If you STOP attempting to slander my name, maybe we can work out the 2 MONTHS that I do owe since my life is stable and this is not a problem but it is not worth the attempt if I am constantly harrassed. And all of your hours spent has not and will not effect my life. Again, GOD BLESS YOU!!
