I have been cheated out of more than $1300. I did not fight this at the time because of personal reasons.

Landlord refused to pay back neither security deposit nor cleaning deposit, even though the house was returned in the same condition minus one defect in the carpet which needed replacement before we moved in.

Landord stated it was fine to pay within a few days of the 1st of the month, so I paid at my convenience floating around weekend and bank holidays etc..

Upon move out inspection the landlord tried to convey to me items of damage that could not be refunded. The only damage (acknowledged by me) was to the (20+ years old) carpet which any reasonable court would require replacement anyways.

In lieu of a refund check I received in the mail a letter charging for every late day of rent.

He seemed like a nice guy for the two and a half years we rented from him, but when the time came he used the phrase "business is business". Only now I come to realize what a cheat the landlord was. He knows the law and knows how to con a tenant out of his due deposit.
He also charged me for Rental Tax, but I would wager that he did not submit them to the city. I would not doubt if he has a few more up his sleeve that I am unaware. Don't trust this guy, or you should be aware and ready to play his game.

This landlord is worthless, heartless, and greedy. His house is old and falling apart. God don’t like ugly and he sure is ugly. Cleveland 110th. Do not rent. Roaches that will not go away. Spider filled basement, leaky pipes. The tenants do more work on his house than he does.

Do Not Rent from CHRIS ANN HOWE in New Smyrna Beach, FL

The house was completely trashed when we moved in.  We cleaned it at our expense and documented everything carefully.  Many problems occurred with the property while we were tenants - electrical problems, bug and rodent infestations, broken fixtures, broken toilets and showers, broken A/C, etc.  Every time we tried to address these problems with her she wouldn’t do anything about them.  She would always refuse to pay for anything herself, telling us to pay for it and take it out of the rent which would be fine if I had the money but I don’t and per the lease it wasn’t my responsibility.  The final straw for us was her failure to comply with the law concerning dead rodents in the walls of the home.  She refused to have the dead animals removed and basically told us to deal with the smell and health problems that occurred afterwards.  We received a verbal agreement that we could vacate the premises before the end of our lease, which we promptly did.  Now in the process of trying to get our security deposit back she is claiming that we trashed the house and she is keeping the deposit to pay for “the fucking mess we left behind.” Total absolute scumbag this woman is because she has clearly demonstrated to me that she cares only about getting that check into her hands which by the way she won’t cash for nearly 3 weeks if you’re lucky.  So if you’re in the New Smyrna Beach beachside area looking for a condo/home to rent I advise you to steer clear of Chris Ann Howe and her property at 33 Cedar Dunes.

Walter Chrazszcz of Manchester, NH is a racist

Do not rent any property from this landlord.  This landlord as of right now is facing a lot of heat from the Human Rights Commission in Concord, NH and New Hampshire Supreme Court - Concord, NH.  My partner and I have been renting an apartment from Mr. Chrazszcz for many years now.  Just recently, he is trying to evict us because “we are gay”!!!  He also don’t allow people of color to live in his apartments.  I have done some research on Mr. Chrazszcz and I have found out that he is also in trouble with other tenants in Manchester District Court-Manchester, NH.  This landlord is no good!  He thinks that his shit doesn’t stink.  News Flash...If you are reading this Mr. Chrazszcz, you better have your checkbook and a good lawyer in our case against you.  “HERE’S TO EVERYTHING THAT YOU HAVE COMING TO YOU, YOU LOW LIFE”!!!
