Rob Holloran and Jamie Winters, East of Cincinnati, Ohio
My husband and I had to move across the country due to work. We were only given 4 days to pack up our entire house, find tenants, and get to the new location. Now that we’ve finally closed on our new house (so much cheaper to buy than rent!), we’re facing the problem of these people in our other house.
When we signed the lease, they paid the first month up front, in cash. They didn’t give the security deposit until 3 weeks later. At the time of this post, their rent is now a month past due, and we can’t pay the mortgage on that house because of it. Their next month of rent is due next week. They will not respond to emails, their phone says they’re disconnected, and they’ve so far refused to pick up and sign for the Certified Letter containing their 3-day Notice to Vacate.
We’ve been trying to get in touch with a property management company, but no one is answering our calls (possibly due to the holidays), and we are now at the point of having to put our house up for Short Sale as a direct result of all of this.
So please, if you own property east of Cincinnati (Eastgate/Batavia/Williamsburg/Mt. Orab/Bethel/Anywhere-in-Between, DO NOT RENT TO THESE PEOPLE!!

Norman Adie & Kasey Gittleman, New York, NY
Tenants had to be evicted according to a court order, and I was forced to agree to a reduced rent agreement until they are required to leave.
Tenants felll behind on their payments, never paid on time, and could not afford the apartment due to their own financial problems.

Maureen Deragon BELLEVILLE ONTARIO CANADA
I have been her tenant for the last 16 months. 11 months ago I moved into a second rental unit of hers, a house for myself and my four children. The rent was very reasonable and the house appeared to be in great condition. First night in, the end of Jan, the furnace broke down. Right from that moment its been a nightmare. After getting no where with her re: countless repairs, I had no choice but to go to the Property Standards department of City Hall. After an inspection, a work order was given, with several jobs for her to complete by Dec. 16th. This woman has not completed a single thing the City outlined, on numerous occasions she has failed to provide fuel, leaving my children and I freezing with no heat. She has illegally entered my unit several times, resulting in the police coming to my aid. I have filed my T2 and T6 applications with the Tribunal and awaiting a trial date. I submitted 83 pages of evidence and have my fingers crossed that I will get the settlement I am requesting. Did I mention her husband assaulted my hearing impaired three year old son? Or that her daughter also assaulted myself and my other son? Did I mention that while my 3 yr old was recovering from ear surgery, she entered my home with a man to “decompressurize” the house- and of course, I had to have them removed? This woman is a manipulator… BEWARE!!

Carmen Kirk of Calgary Alberta
Well. Carmen’s husband owns rental property. She is probably the worst person I have ever heard of in my entire life. She has attempted to sue at least 5 tenants, possibly even more. Two of them, she lied in court and got caught. She eneded up owning THEM money. 1 one them, she potentially lied in. The other two, she definately lied in. Two tenants lived together, one paid her everything she was owed for them breaching the tenancy by leaving early (they felt they had to, she appeared very unstable and definately disrespectful) and she sued the other one anyways. I guess she was worried she would get caught for trying to get paid twice, so she lied to get a restraining order, which didn’t do the trick, so she (presumably) lied to get the second tenant charged criminally. Now she is in a very big mess. She is very spiteful, and a very angry person. I feel that she is as evil as any human could ever be.
FREEDOM OF SPEACH. THANK YOU.
