I will make this short and sweet.  DO NOT RENT TO JENNIFER BURKE.  She is a con-artist who uses the single mother card and sweet personality to pull you into her web of lies.  Ms. Burke did not pay her rent for months and when I finally got her out of my townhouse I was left with court fees, attorney fees and months of unpaid rent.  She will cost you more money and more stress than it is worth.  This was my first and probably my last time as a landlord.  I don’t ever want to go through that experience again.  DO NOT RENT TO JENNIFER BURKE.

tenant non payment of rent

my tenant , latisha mapp who rented an apt from me in st albans , ny with sister kewana remnie,has not paid her rent for 4-5 months,,and she even came to harass me to renew her lease ,even though she has not paid,, i am evicting her through the courts and she is telling the courts that i will not take the rent money.. ( who in this world would not take money to pay there mortgage?),,.she has also retaliated by placing and dumping garbage on the side of my 2 family home.. so people,.landlords,, if you ever have a rental out there,,(beware!!),because she will tell you she is not leaving,, no matter what..she knows how to play the system ,but soon time will run out..

Drugs and Gangs

last september due to rentovations to my old apartment my landlord asked the tenants in the building to move into some of his other buildings of just move into another unit in the building i choose an upstairs unit as time past i noticed a tenant that lives in the building next to the building i live in i would see him and all his buddys hanging in front of the building i said to myself long as thay keep it over there i will be fine

one hot July 2008 evening as the sunset he and his friends all of a sudden this guy jumps out of a van with a hand gun shoots all around the street then he starts to shoot at apartment buildings including mine thay jump in the car and drives off this continue 2 weeks later i was in bed tired from a hard days work about 11pm i hear something hitting the building i look out its these guys with this hand gun shooting again this is in hollywood calif and these guys are mexican nationals i called 911 it stopped the police could not catch them so thay still around these guys go around the street steal peoples batterys out of there cars shoot peoples car lights out and was harrassing some jewish guys that moved into the neighborhood

i contacted the owner of that building he did nothing i contacted the mayor and my city councle man let me tell you all this stuff goes on 2 blocks from the police station i can not get the police to patrol this street this guys is selling drugs to teens he has 5 cars and everything thay do its done at night i do not want to give up my apartment what am i going to do if thay trying to kill me thay flashing more guns and terrorizing the whole neighborhood still no arrest and the owner of the building let them run the building all he do is collect rent i need to know is there some place where i can report this owner about his property..

Horrible Landlord

I have a big problem with my landlord,he doesn’t want a exterminator in my apartment where I rent,i have a 10 month old daughter and a 5 year old son.I have a mice infestation apartment,i can’t even let my 10 month old daughter learn how to walk because there are so many mouses i don’t want her to be on the floor. So now he finds out I reported the problem to the city of New York about not having an exterminator.

The landlord threatens me with a notice of termination letter sating I have to be out of the apartment by September 20,2008. The letter was not notarized. I don’t owe him no rent I have all of my proof. He can’t kick me out of my apartment just like that,I called and asked him why he wants me out of my apartment he told me because I complain to much. this landlord is horrible and I need to no what I should do from here.
