Deadbeat Tenant - Boyd McCoy

Do NOT rent to this guy.  He seems nice, but he will give you every excuse why he doesn’t have the rent and then bounce the checks when he does.  He is already accused of passing one bad check in Ogle County, IL, has a current DUI case in DuPage County, IL and is about to be evicted from his current residence (where he has done property damage).  Landlord BEWARE.

Myrna Lopez, Deadbeat Tenant 175 Beach 97th St Rockaway Beach, NY

Myrna Lopez and her family comes across as a desperate single mom trying to find a place for her and her daughters but while smiling to your face, she will ignore all the rules set forth in the lease. No Pets, means sneaking in a cat then a dog and then another dog so that they can bark all day and night and annoy your other tenants and neighbors. No washer or dryer means, let’s have someone install a dryer and use the gas that I pay for. Rent due on the 1st means she’ll pay you when she remembers to and/or give an excuse about some unfortunate incident every month on why she couldn’t pay on time.
Due to her disregard of the rules, her lack of payment and the numerous complaints from my other tenant and neighbors, i was forced to ask her to leave and filed an eviction at the same time. Her “word” of moving at the end of the month, as i expected, turned into a 6 month rent free living for her. I was wise to file the eviction right away rather than take her word that she would move. My financial situation has worsened every month that she lives there for free. I had to sell my primary home at a loss in order to consolidate and move into the investment property that she is currently living in still. Now i have been told that she is not taking her garbage out but rather leaving it in front of my driveway to accumulate so that sanitation will give me tickets. What a loser! She and her family has NO class or respect for others. I am curious to see what the conditions are after the marshals enforce the eviction afer July 31st. DO NOT RENT to this person, do not fall for the “oh I’m a single parent” BS, She is a low class individual that has no regard for rules or respect. She deserves what ever hardships life brings. Don’t know what values she is teaching her teens but freeloading off of hard working landlords is one of them.

Giovani Rende

Do not rent from this landlord.  He is crappy and will not repair anything.  He will come out and check your appliances, plumbling, etc and then tell you it is working fine.
My refrigerator has been broken for 9 days and he has not repaired it.  I cannot keep any food except in the freezer.  He continues to say he checked it and it works.
I bought a thermometer and it reads 60 degrees.  My food has spoiled. He called me a nag and hung up on me and will not return my phone calls.

Lakeside Apartments

I’ve lived here for five years and this year that worst. The wrong landlord can you make lose hope in people and that’s exactly what has happened here. I lived here for 5 years and have been always told that if I get rent in before the 6th I was fine. Well, they want money from me and force me out so all of a sudden the rule has changed with no notification so now I owe 300 dollars to them for nothing. Also, our apartment has mold, ceiling water damage and two non-working toilets. My fiance and I have to use the gas station. They never come, they don’t care, and they treat us awfully. I once called them crying begging for them to come and they didn’t. They lie all of the time. Be weary of that. Record everything. You will need it.
