If you live in Mesquite and/or know anyone that is looking for a rental house. Please please PLEASE warn them NOT to rent the house I just moved from . It is 720 Futrelle, Mesquite. It’s a corner house, with a swimming pool. It’s a great house, but the landlords are straight out of hell, I tell you they are the devil and his mommy! We are having to take them to civil court to get our deposit back of 1100 bucks! We left their house in tip top shape and to be honest it was NOT that clean when we rented it a year ago. I just do NOT want anyone to get locked in to anything with these folks. They are seriously deranged and will manipulate you and take your money. We always had to make repairs if something went wrong. All the guy would say is “let me call my mom”. All the mom would say is “what do you expect me to do?”
Please pass this on to anyone that might be in the market for a rent house. They will also tell you that you can purchase the house, but when you get in their and start attempting to do so, they RAISE the asking price. I could go on and on, but it would not get my money back. I just want to warn others. Please be aware of who you are renting from!!!!!!! Their names are Brandon and Lynda. They are mother and son and will screw you the second you turn your back!! BEWARE
They will take your money and run. They do not repair things that need to be repaired. You are responsible for handling EVERYTHING and then they don’t want to give you deposit funds back. Run the other way, DO NOT RENT from these people. They also have houses in Rowlett and Plano!!

He is a very dangerous man. I had to call the police on him because he was harrassing me. He posted comments about me online that are completely false - claiming I never paid rent (I paid every month) and that I am a “nasty person,” when I never litigated against him even though I had plenty of grounds to do so. I was so terrified of him I had to get a security system because I was afraid he would break in and hurt me in my sleep. His apartment was not up to code and he did not at all care. He is a slum landlord. It’s not just me who thinks so! The Lynn Police even said he was a slum landlord! DO not rent from him. He will make your life a living hell. I have documents to substantiate every single thing I am saying. It is all true!
This Tenant is chronically late in paying rent. She signed the lease and her parents signed a a guarantors. Every time I requested the rent they are saying that she is waiting to get paid and that the person she is working for did not pay her yet. This is going on every month for the last few years.
She currently owes 3 month rent and makes no attempts to pay. She says (in writing) that she is moving out at the end of August 2009 and pay the rent she owes before she leaves. She also thanked me for being so patient with the rent.
The shower in one of the bathroom leaks so I hired a plumber to repair the problem but she would not allow him to do the repair. In spite of numerous phone calls texts etc. from myself and the plumber. I think she does this in order to be able to complain to the building dept. thus she thinks she may get away without paying 3 month rent she owes.

This person over charges for rent and took $250 off of my deposit after I had only lived in her house for 5 months. I left the place cleaner then when I found it and she expects you to take care of her dog and not use the Air Conditioner. The room she rents out is a hot box and she has the tendency to leave for work on sundays at 8am and turn off the Air Conditioner while you’re still sleeping in your room with the doors and windows closed. She will charge you for utilities, then turn around and say that she’s the one who pays for utilities, therefore she has the right to control how much you use the utilities in the house.
