Everett WA Do Not Rent (604)

This landlord is a piece of work. He has property throughout Snohomish County. Now he works 2nd shift locally, when I moved in he said he’d be available for anything needing work, now he can’t be available because his work shift is different than mine, and refuses to do weekend work now. I live alone and am moderately disabled (he knew this). My toilet became unusable several months ago, He told me to call a plumber and then refused to pay 2/3 of the bill. My unit had ants, he told me to put out ant traps at my expense. I live alone, no kids. I have a cat, he knew it when I moved in, I rescued a stray pregnant mama cat and gave all away, including mama, and am still trying to give last one away. Hassling me for that (I got the kitten neutered) now. I discovered this unit was an illegally zoned apt back in Feb when I noticed 4 elec meters while looking for mine. County has now come down on him to bring the whole complex up to code, and he’s angry about that. He bills the unit per occupant for water use, I’ve only received one water bill from him, he keeps saying he has more, but he won’t send it or drop it off. Electrical work to get this unit in compliance was rushed, I had to take time off because he wouldn’t work with my schedule. The work was shoddy, no cloths were laid down, no masks were put up and there’s powdered drywall all over the place that I’ve been cleaning all weekend.  I have lived here for a year Dec 1 and now am contemplating taking him to court because of illegal rent that I didn’t know about (he advertised it as it was zoned, and I accidentally discovered the other unit in late winter). There is so much more, such as illegal dogs in the complex (city code says more than 2 requires a kennel license, no comparable for cats) I will provide his name if you are able to contact me direct.

Do not rent from in Medicine Hat, Alberta (603)

I do not recommend for anyone to rent a house located at 361 10th Street SW in Medicine Hat, Alberta. There is a hoarder who lives in the basement of this house and the landlord ignores this problem. The landlord also works doing security and would not fix the front door which was kicked in. I lost my damage deposit because I could not live in this house for a month and I do not want to see other people losing their money to this creep.

525 Green Lane Philadelphia PA (601)

The landlords at 525 Green Lane, Philadelphia, PA are the worst ever!  This house is in Roxborough, not Manayunk and you will shortly realize this after moving in.  They were never around (absentee landlords) and took 2 months to return our security deposit...then they only sent us half back...and made it out to the wrong people.  When we questioned them on this they never responded.  Whatever you do...do not rent at 525 Green Lane in Philadelphia...unless you like hearing the auto body shop at all hours of the day and night as well.  Their names are Jeff and Larry...they will nickel and dime you/screw you over trust me!
