Recently posted: ”Tucson, AZ- Warning about Landlord Richard Davis”
This landlord was very unorganized and irresponsible. He doesn’t live in the state and had his other tenant do our walkthough when left the property. There was a lot of he said, she said, that happened though out our whole lease. He didn’t even know who was on lease. One tenant had put his name down so his new apartment could find out his previous renting history and Richard told him only one person lived there, even though everyone’s name was on the lease. After returning our deposit he noiced he could not find the pool key that was left at the property, or the tenant that he had look at the house couldn’t find it. He left me nasty voicemails talking about how he was “going to ruin my name”, and how “I will never be able to rent again”, he kept calling and calling saying give me $100 for the pool key. I finaly emailed him saying, hey you lost it, i returned everything. You oviously signed off since I got my deposit back. He decited to reseach and call my mother. Thats right, my mother!!!!! Not only did he harras me with countless phone calls, nasty voice messages, and litterally threating me, he broke the law by disussing my supposed debt with a third party. That is illegal, and that is my mother how disreceptful. This man lied and never wanted to fix anything. He would always tell me when i requested repairs that he lives off the rent, ext. Be warned, you are in for a handfull if you rent his properties.
We received the following response from the landlord Richard Davis:
This post is retaliatory and false. I am happy to supply references from satisfied tenants that have rented from me for years. I am also happy to provide more information on Kayla Crofoot’s (Tucson , Az.) tenancy.
Everything that was requested was fixed within a couple of days of being reported … so much for being disorganized! Kayla Crofoot (Tucson. Az.) is a rank LIAR and cannot be trusted – I have the maintenance records; her father, amongst others, did several hundred dollars of work on the property while she lived there. On at least three occasions she spun one story to me and another to someone else.
She harassed me to return their deposit a week before the lease ended. Like a fool, I sent them their money back on receipt of the keys BUT before checking the pool key.
These tenants, and in particular, Kayla Crofoot (Tucson, Az.) were disrespectful of me, neighbors and rules – rent to them at your own risk and expect aggravation.
